18m Pilot Boat for Port Taranaki, New Zealand

A Camarc 18m Aluminium Pilot Boat built by Q-west in New Zealand has been successfully delivered to Port Taranaki.
The installation of twin Scania Di16 engines and Hamilton HM461 waterjets achieve crusing speeds of 23 Knots at the rated power and sprint speeds in excess of 30 knots.
The design is self-righting and features a resiliently mounted wheelhouse to reduce noise levels. A man overbaord rescue cradle & platform are fitted aft. The vessel also features the Camarc Popsure fender system with specific extended sections in way of the pilot boarding areas and a designed 'nose' for bow boarding to and from offshore platforms.
